In July 2007, AmSouth Bank and Regions Financial converted customer accounts to the new Regions system for
2 of 16 states (Alabama and Florida). The remaining 14 states are scheduled to be converted by early 2008.
Below we have highlighted some of the feedback we have heard from customers, employees and stockholders.

Let me tell you how great this conversion has been from a customer AND stockholder's prospective.
1. Myself, my adult children, my neighbors, my golfing buddies ALL had to call the support center to
get their passwords reset so they could access online banking. This is not one or two customers but
dozens. Why couldn't someone have used a little intelligence and created new temporary passwords for
these existing customers without this trouble?
2. I had a checking account that swept money into an investment account. It was discontinued since
I guess the AmSouth systems couldn't handle a sweep transaction. Statements were dropped on both
accounts the day of the conversion. My checking account got paid interest, but my investment account
didn't. Not a huge sum of money, but if it happened to me, I suspect it has happened to many, many more
customers. Now that should add up a rather large chunk of change that someone is going to have to
reimburse to all of these customers.
3. I went to make a sizeable deposit at my branch ATM this evening, the same way I have been doing for
years. Only tonight, I found out that I have to now include a deposit slip with the check that I am
depositing. Obviously the AmSouth ATM system cannot handle online deposits and someone must process
the paper. I had to go all of the way back home and get the paper to complete my transaction. In
addition, my deposits in the past were good up until 8:00pm on the night of the deposit. Now anything
after 2:00pm (that's afternoon not night) is not credited until the next day. What happened to customer
convenience and service? Oh, I guess that we went from having a Nordstrom's/Parisian's service culture
(old Regions) to a KMart/Sears culture now (new AmSouth's Regions).
4. I have a number of large CDs maturing next week and I cannot wait to move them to a local bank who
will pay a better rate of interest, but really wants my money. Seems like I heard something to the
effect on the earnings conference call that their interest margin would improve once they got rid of
some of the high rate CD customers.
Yeah, this conversion has been just GREAT. They converted the accounts, but lost some good customer
relationships and good will in the meantime. Oh and by the way, has anyone noticed the wonderful
improvement in the stock price since this GREAT conversion?

Not to be coy, but since the "merger", Regions (at least in terms of policies) has ceased to exist.
No, I don't use my debit card at Burger King as the kind gentleman stated. but I did have 34 corporate
checking accounts, a business line of credit, and 3 personal accounts with Regions prior to the merger.
I now have zero. Our 4 year relationship with Regions was both profitable and productive for both our
company and the Bank. Since the AmSouth merger, it appears they use a sundial to make wire transfers
and a legal pad and pencil to calculate balances.
I for one look forward to buying some Regions/AmSouth stock for pennies on the dollar when they tank,
then selling it when a buyer comes along with some business sense and saves the day.
Adios Regions!

This conversion mess is like a "Chinese Fire Drill"! Noone knows what is going on. It is literally a ship without a rudder. God bless the regions shareholders!

You've got to be kidding. You must not be working in a branch that was "green". I've never heard so
many customers SHOUTING in anger and so many horns honking in the drive thru lanes. Edge system
stinks...slow slow slow. One branch doubled their customer base when an AmSouth branch consolidated
into it. That added tellers but in the great foresight and wisdom of corporate, no new teller windows
were added so associates are just standing there. But that doesn't really matter since most associates
cannot get signed on to the system anyway. WHAT A WONDERFUL CONVERSION THIS WAS!!!! HA HA HA.
It seems the goal throughout the company is to drive the Regions leadership and associates out. That
leaves AmSouth with Regions good name, but then again, the way things look now, it won't have much of
a good name for long!
So, to all you big boy stockholders who voted for the merger, enjoy your new 52 week low stock price.

This "merger" is a bad thing for Regions customers. I don't want a "badregions" website to surface.
Regions is a great place to work and to bank. AMsouth is taking over and using the Regions name to
hide from their bad reputation.
And yes this is just the next phase for another LARGER bank to take over. Lots of Wells FArgo rumors...

Actually, the new name, effective 1 Nov 06, will be RINO (Regions in Name Only). Management, top to
bottom (with a few exceptions in Alabama), corporate policies, practices, hardware and software
(over 90%) , will be all AmSouth. Regions management, starting with Rick Horsley, has and is bailing.
Those that are left, I am afraid, will be left with a "Survivor" situation, in which the new "tribe"
votes (fires) members of the old "tribe". Of course, it could be a ripe situation for a "New Regions"
to be born by some of the members of the old tribe. Hard to understand that Mr. Mackin, Mr. Jones and
Mr. Morgan have allowed their Bank to be mugged by the Ritters and Bagbys RamSouth, with the problems
they have allowed in their organization. I guess its all about the money.

People should realize this is not a merger or takeover, but a HAND OVER – Regions has handed over the
bank to AmSouth. It was all done so that Jackson Moore, the CEO from Union Planters, who took over
from Carl Jones as CEO of Regions, could get a promised $27 million bonus for affecting a merger within
his first three years in office. Mr. Moore had no allegiance to Regions honest, loyal and competent
employees or Regions stockholders. Because of his golden parachute, he was well taken care of when all
was done. Mr. Moore had to promise the top positions to AmSouth executives in order to get them to
accept the deal and push it through their Board.
Regions employees are leaving in droves, because they are being forced out in droves. Most of the top
jobs have gone to AmSouth executives. The Regions competent and honest folks who are left are being
belittled and humiliated in public meetings whenever possible, in order to force them out.
It won’t take long for the public to realize that the new Regions has adopted AmSouth’s systems,
policies, audit approach, etc. The new bank, under AmSouth’s leadership, is stepping back 3-5 years
in time. Jackson Moore cashed out (or cashed in), however you want to say it. You can bet the top
AmSouth executives who have taken over at Regions, will do the same as soon as a profitable opportunity
presents itself.

The Regions Conversions on July 13 has been a complete fiasco. It has been unorganized, field support
people are idiots, AmSouth's system is NOT customer friendly and the customers and Regions employees
have suffered tremendously. Thank you Jack Moore for selling us out so that AmSouth can flush a good
bank down the toilet. The only thing that is left of the old Regions is the name because AmSouth ruined
theirs. I encourage anyone in the branches to quit because it will only get worse.

I've been a Regions banker for over 10 years (not an employee). I have always felt that Regions Bank
was outstanding in virtually ever facet of my banking experience. However, my initial impression of
the conversion process and the new Regions net is that it sucks. Wrong data, missing data, very limited
flexibiltiy and for the most part I lost options and didn't gain squat in terms of what the system
provides. That would seem bad enough and maybe understandable because anything new will have it's
problems and maybe one can assume with time the problems will be worked out. But wait, I used the
secure e-mail feature to address the issue but 72 hours later NO response. I called the 800 number(s)
and what is truly amazing is that only AmSouth personnel are manning the call centers. What is more
amazing is that one gets a different answer to the same question each time one calls. I even found
where they started charging me a fee for my check card and during my call I was placed on hold and to
my amazement the talking ad for Regions while I was on hold was telling me about how the Regions Check
card was free. I asked to speak specifically to a Regions employee not a AmSouth convert. To my
amazement there were none available or so I was told. I don't want to change banks after so many
years. I don't want to be a thorn in their side. But I have also taken the approach that I'm
responsible so overdrafts have never been an issue, I believe if this continues I'm going to do for
the new Regions what the disgruntled customers of Sprint did. Become the biggest pain in the neck they
ever had. I can envision 100 calls per month from me just to make a statement. I'm not ready to go there
yet because I want to give them a chance but so far I'm not impressed at all. So whom ever developed
this web site thank you. Regions has one but they are not answering e-mail or inquiries and you have
to sit and wait to get a AmSouth Convert who doesn't know what they are talking about. I hope these
warnings are false but the fact that I went looking for a web site tells you something.

badregions.com is a good website for customers that are unaware of what is going on. I have had nothing
but problems out of Regions since the merger. I was a Regions customer for 6 years prior to the merger
and I have to admit... changes ARE taking place... FOR THE WORST! The customer service has gone DOWN,
the friendliness is non-existent and the fees, oh, dont get me started on the fees! Also, have had
several problems with the online banking since the merger... in my opinion the merger was BAD NEWS from
the getgo. I am closing accounts effective August 1 2007 and going to either Compass Bank, or a credit
union. And for the ad slogan... xpect more... that is "banker talk" for the fees that will be slapped
on ya' in a few months!

You are absolutely right on. I have never had a dealing with any AmSouth Bank that was even remotely favorable.
Until now I have never had a problem with Regions Bank. Now their own line banking is less versatile, many
functions no longer are available and it sucks. I too have been a long time 10 years + Regions customer but
I think the new Regions would be wise to stick with the old Regions play book. Overdraft fees and funds
availability is one issue but my experience ie., customer service, on line banking when it's working so far
is not good. There is a reason they kept the Regions name, AmSouth had a very poor reputation and that is common
knowledge. Regions had/has a good name just hope they don't destroy it with all the "blues". I'm a customer but
I think I'm going to start asking tellers are they a former blue or a green then ask to speak to a green at the
first sign of trouble.

Hate to tell you, but it doesn't matter if they were blue or green, they all now work for AmSouth. The name
might appear to some to be Regions, but it is actually labeled as follows: AmSouth Bank doing business as Regions
Bank. Doesn't really matter if you ask to speak to a green employee, they can't help you either...AmSouth policies
are seeing to that. Customer service will be extinct before long. So will most green employees, unfortunately!!

The Something Smells Award – for the Worst Bank Merger of the Year
Hands down it was AmSouth and Regions. If you believe this line from the merger press release –
“AmSouth shares Regions’ passion for delivering superior customer service, and the combined company
will be in an excellent position to raise service standards.” – then we have some great beachfront
land in the Arizona desert to sell you.
